Project Overview
Directions: For this project your group will need to pick a region of the world and learn about the impact physical geography has on the human geography. In order to fully understand this concept we will be diving deeper into the science behind volcanoes, earthquakes, and tsunamis.
Part I: Research
Each person in your group should select one of the three topics to research (volcanoes, earthquakes, and tsunamis). Make sure to answer each question for your topic using the graphic organizer you were provided.
Part II: Selected Topic Presentations
At this point in the project it is now time to share your research with your classmates and learn about the other two topics. Each student will meet with their selected topic group (ie everyone who research volcanoes will meet together while everyone who research earthquakes will meet together) and put together a presentation to show to the rest of their classmates.
Part III: Review Questions
Students will answer various science and geography based questions using evidence from their research as well as information gathered from their peers presentations.
Part IV: Digital Product
Using your research and information you have gathered from our class activities, create a final digital product to showcase your knowledge. This product should show the connection between physical geography and human geography while making sure to include the science behind volcanoes, earthquakes, and tsunamis.
